Boston
Celtics at Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview
It’s
playoff time in the NBA, and there are some terrific first-round matchups set.
The Brooklyn Nets take on the Boston Celtics in one of these matchups, with
Game 1 set for Saturday night.
Boston
earned its way into the NBA
playoffs by beating the Washington Wizards in the
play-in game. The Celtics are the number 7 seed, one year after reaching the
conference finals in 2020.
Brooklyn is
the number two seed in the East but are the betting favorites to win the NBA
title. The Nets posted a 48-24 regular-season record, including wins in each of
their last five games.
These teams
have plenty of history, and that should make for a highly entertaining series.
Brooklyn will have a home-court advantage and will host the first two games.
Here’s the
best kept secret in the sports betting world … line
shopping is the easiest way to win more bets.
Celtics
Must Find Offense
The Boston
Celtics will likely be without Jaylen Brown, and that’s a big blow to the
offense. Brown is capable of carrying the offense at times, and the Celtics
struggle to score.
One look at
NBA
scores shows Boston has averaged 112.6 points per game during the
regular season, which was slightly below league average. The Celtics did put up
118 in the play-in victory and will need a similar performance on Saturday.
Jayson
Tatum has emerged into a superstar, averaging 26.4 points per game this season.
Tatum scored 50 points in the win over Washington, but he will have the
attention of the Nets.
Boston has
shown that it can be a strong defensive team, and this will be another key
against Brooklyn.

Brooklyn
“Big Three” Ready
Brooklyn
has not had its three superstars healthy for much of the year, but that all
changed recently. Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden are all ready to
go, and that spells trouble for opponents.
The Nets
are averaging 118.6 points per game, but that number could be even higher.
Irving leads the team with 28.6 points per game, but he’s the third-best scorer
on the roster.
Harden and
Durant have had plenty of postseason success playing together, and they are
ready to lead. The Nets are going to try to outscore the Celtics, and that
likely won’t be an issue.
Brooklyn
will give up some points, but this team is nearly impossible to stop.

Nets Just
Too Much For Celtics
There is
plenty of star power on each roster, but the injuries are adding up for the
Celtics. Boston has proven it can win in the postseason, but this was not a
good year for the Celtics.
Brooklyn could
still be lacking a bit of chemistry, but they have the most talent in the
league. It’s hard to picture the Nets struggling to score with so many weapons
on the roster.
Look for
the Nets to speed up the tempo in this game, and that’s a problem for the
Celtics. Boston just doesn’t have the depth to play all four quarters, and the
Nets eventually pull away.
Boston
might win a game or two in this series, but they aren’t taking the series
opener. Bet the Brooklyn Nets over the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of this NBA
First Round Series in the Eastern Conference.
